This is probably the reason why the idea of a biometric scanner has not really taken off. If you think about it, a biometric scanner, used in all aspects of our life, will do us good. It will improve our way of living. It will give us a more sense of security. It will give us convenience like no other. We do not have to go all the way back to our home if we forgot our ID or are our wallet that contain our ID, credit cards and ATM cards. It will no longer be like the current situation where thieves are continually trying to steal your bag. Heck, it will even eliminate the very idea of robbers. Especially since there will be nothing left to steal!

Therefore it is really is a puzzle as to why people are not making use of biometric scanners more. Actually one of the reasons for the hesitancy is the security. Somehow people have it in their minds, that the databases of these devices has inadequate security. Nothing will provide protection since there is no law yet to protect them from the abuse of the data used for these scanners.
